United Artists has acquired worldwide rights to the upcoming ensembler "Saved" from Single Cell Pictures and Infinity Intl. Entertainment.

The dark comedy about a pregnant girl at a Christian high school will star Macaulay Culkin, Chris Evans, Patrick Fugit, Jena Malone, Heather Matarazzo, Mandy Moore and Eva Amurri.

Mary-Louise Parker is in negotiations to join the cast.

"Saved" will be the feature-directing bow of AFI graduate Brian Dannelly from a script by Dannelly and Michael Urban.

Michael Stipe and Sandy Stern of Single Cell Pictures and Michael Ohoven and William Vince of Infinity produce the film, with shooting slated to start in mid-September.

Single Cell, which has a first-look deal with UA, produced "Being John Malkovich" and executive produced "Velvet Goldmine." Most recently, the company executive produced "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing" and produced "Freak City" for Showtime.

Helmed by CEO Ohoven, Infinity develops, finances and produces theatrical motion features and has offices in Los Angeles, Germany and Canada.
